Management for reuse of avian bed

Abstract

With the increase of the technology and the production of chicken of cut is necessary the development of alternatives to minimize the production of waste dumped in the environment. The objective of this literature review was to identify the critical points of the production chain and to seek alternatives for the use, reuse and possible technological processing of the chicken bed. It was possible to conclude that due to the high concentration of nutrients, the chicken litter can be used for energy generation or as fertilizer, and can mitigate the environmental impact of the poultry provided that the adequate planning, zoning and training of all personnel involved in the and the management of their waste.
