Economic aspects of Ibn Jubair's journey

Abstract

Ibn Jubair dealt with various economic aspects in his ‌book The Journey, and since the economic aspects are ‌considered the main artery of human life in general, he ‌gave them importance in his writings. In various ‌disciplines, he finds that all of these books, except for a ‌few of them, have dealt with these matters, and the ‌reason is that they occupy the first place and the ‌important place in the life of human societies in general. ‌‌    In this study, we have dealt with the economic aspects ‌and what they included in matters of industry and trade, ‌matters of agriculture and water, in addition to the tax, ‌spoils and tribute, as well as matters of alimony and ‌matters of theft. And clarifying the occasion that Ibn ‌Jubair mentioned in his journey, and we have dealt with ‌these matters according to the order that we ‌mentioned, and from God is success.
