Extraterritorial dissemination of Yan’an literature is a significant component of Yan’an literary system. The popularity of Marxism in Thailand provided an ideological soil for Yan’an literature. China’s social and cultural movements in the early twentieth century, “art for life, art for the people” literary and artistic trend, promoted the spread of Yan’an literature in Thailand based on which the special phenomenon emerged from the convergence of “literature of human being” and “literature for the people.” The Yan’an literature not only promotes the construction of modernity in Thai literature but also improves the system of research on Chinese literature in Thailand. At present, based on the unique aesthetic properties, humanistic care, and regional plot of Yan’an literature, Thai academic circles have begun to pay attention to the study of Yan’an literature and regard it as a part of the Chinese education system and become a carrier of Chinese cultural spirit in countries along the Belt and Road initiative.
