El problema de la brecha salarial en el ámbito de la empresa, en particular el caso de la comunidad autónoma de Euskadi

Abstract

Se llevan muchos años combatiendo la brecha salarial entre mujeres y hombres, pero a pesar del esfuerzo, aún hoy existe dicho fenómeno. La brecha salarial entre mujeres y hombres existente en Euskadi se sitúa entre un 9,5 y un 19,5% (difiriendo según la forma en la que se calcula). El problema es evidente y el debate está abierto. En este artículo analizaremos los factores que contribuyen a la brecha salarial, y determinaremos si las medidas que se están adoptando en los últimos años pueden ayudar a reducir la diferencia salarial de Euskadi. The gender pay gap has been fought for years, but despite the effort, this phenomenon still exists. The gender pay gap in the Basque Country is between 9.5% and 19.5% (differing depending on the way in which it is calculated). The problem is evident and is being debated. In this article, we will analyze the factors that contribute to the wage gap, and we will determine if the measures that are being adopted recently can help to reduce the gender pay gap in the Basque Country.
