The purpose of this paper is to analyze and estimate the detection area of air targets based on the BD Forward Scattering Radar(FSR),and to study the detection range of different BD satellites and its change with time,as well as the different air targets influence on the detection area.In the experiment,the data of BD satellite are actually collected, and the detection area is analyzed by MATLAB software.The results show that the detection range of the air target based on the BD forward scatter radar is a nearly inverted conical shape determined by the baseline,which increases with the increase of the radar cross section of the target.
