Pharmacopuncture in complex treatment of alcoholic polyneuropathy
Abstract
Treatment alcoholic polyneuropathy is one of the most important challenges of health care not only in Russia, but throughout the world. Material and methods. A comparison study of efficacy and tolerability ofthefarmacopuncture in 58 patients with alcoholic polyneuropathy [36 (62,1%) male, 22 (37,9%) female, mean age 41,5±12,4 years]. Introduction of thiamin (vitamin B1) in BAP of the cohort studied was accompanied by a positive dynamics of both subjective and objective clinical symptoms. By means of standard ENMG methods the study was made of motor fibrae of median, tibia, fibular and sensory fibrae of median nerves. Results. Farmacopuncture is tolerable and safe. Conclusions. The results of the study confirm an assumption of introduction of thiamin in БАТ efficacy in alcoholic polyneuropathy and allow to recommend the drug for a wide clinical application.
