Resources and potential of renewable energy sources: methods for calculating and data sources

Abstract

Data sources and methods for assessing the resources and potential of renewable energy sources, primarily solar and wind, are considered. Data sources and methods for calculating the output of solar and wind power plants are analyzed, and additional factors influencing the value of the technical potential of renewable energy sources are given.
