Congenital Colonic Atresia is described to be the rarest form of intestinal atresia and many anomalies can be associated with it. Surgical repair is the definitive treatment but managing it with primary anastomosis vs intestinal diversion is still being disputed. We report a rare case of a 5-month old girl who presented with features of intestinal obstruction. After thoroughly investigating her; she underwent surgical exploration where it was found that she had a type I fenestrated atresia of the distal transverse colon that was managed with resection, primary anastomosis and diversion.
