An institutional history. Note on the Center of Hispanic-American Letters-CELEHIS

Abstract

The note summarizes the origin and development of CELEHIS (Center of Hispanic American Literature), an agency of the Faculty of Humanities, UNMdP. This institutional area dedicated to research arises at the beginning of the democratic opening (1984) and its three basic areas are dedicated to literature in Spanish language, which subsequently to 1992 the area of literary theory is added. Currently, the growth in human resources and the category reached by a significant number of its researchers, in addition to the number of fellows is one of the elements that made possible the creation of an Institute on the faculty.
