Arterial embolization of plastic foreign body

Abstract

Embolization of a foreign body after cardiac surgery is an unusual situation.In the majority of literature reviewed, foreign bodies are related to endovascular procedures with embolization of guide-wires, catheters and other devices. There are even more rare cases such as missile embolization secondary to gunshot wounds.We present the case of an embolization of a plastic foreign body after cardiac surgery located in distal external iliac artery
