Un casque apulo-corinthien du musée des Antiquités de Rouen
Abstract
The conservation-restoration treatment carried out at the C2RMF on an "apulian-corinthian" type helmet kept at the Museum of Antiquities in Rouen provided the opportunity to carry out an in-depth study of this little-documented object. The use of X-ray imaging techniques provided valuable clues about its material history and degree of alteration. Radiography, and especially computer tomography, also provided insight into a singular restoration whose extent and outlines were not easy to define. This article provides an overview of the results obtained in this study.
