Purpose – to provide a comparative analysis of motivation of doctors and paramedical staff’s professional activity of high-technology cardiosurgery health care facility. Methodology. Theoretical methods: the analysis of national and foreign scientific literature. Empirical data collection methods: questionnaire survey, “F. Herzberg’s two-factor profile”, “Motivation of professional activity” Zamfir A. in modification of A.A. Ryan. Methods of statistical data analysis. Results. It was found that the significance of labor activity motives among doctors and paramedical staff has reliable differences. If motivating factors are more important for doctors, then hygienic factors predominate among paramedical staff. Doctors have increasingly expressed internal motivation, the motives of the most complete self-realization in the labor activity and promotion aspiration are more important. Paramedical staff has higher values of external negative motivation as well as the significance of such motives as the desire to avoid criticism by supervisor or colleagues, possible punishments or troubles, an achievement of social prestige and respect from others. Doctors’ motivational complex is optimal, differs in dominance of internal motivation. Motivational complex of paramedical staff differs from the doctors in decreasing of internal motivation and increasing of external negative one. Practical implications. The results of the empirical study can be useful for health care managers, HR-managers, organizational psychologists in the management of human resources.
