In an attempt to meet the social demands arise public policies that envision guide the construction of curriculum proposals for systems and educational units. Among them, there is the construction of a National Base Curriculum Common, conducted by the Ministry of Education in partnership with the National Council of Education Secretaries and the Union of Municipal Education Managers. As participants in the drafting process of the two drafts that came to the stall of the public debate, we intend to contribute to the discussion about the Physical Education component and register a look behind the scenes of the process. So we try to give visibility to the procedures for preparing the document, the concepts that guided the work and the effects that are expected to cause.
