DIALOGUE AND DIALOGISM IN THE THEATRE ART AND PEDAGOGY
Abstract
Theatre and theatre pedagogy are forms and means of knowledge based on dialogue and dialogism. Thus, through the scenic and pedagogical event, a communication is provided from which the “murmur” of the adjoining speeches, from yesterday or today, conforming or not to the fixed goal cannot be evacuated. The “text” uttered in a scenic way, appears to us as a collage of other texts, as a continuous hybridization of statements, as the fruit of a “dialogue of subjectivities” released from the Tower of Babel. The actor’s entry into the “role” implies the assuming of the other’s statement, at the same time giving up a part of their self, through which the other is given room to find his place (to live) in the other. Our study attempts to outline a few research directions that the theatre and the performing arts can open through the interpretation of a dialogue and the recognition of dialogism as a statement that comes unconditionally in meeting other statements.
