Islam européen en musique : les rythmes de l’identitaire religieux
Abstract
Muslim European artists from the worlds of music, engage in some of their productions to assert belonging to Islam or make of music a religious tool or develop a musical field across the Islamic dimension, all this is still happening in the blind spot of traditional distribution channels and cultural policies. All these discursive postures, religious ethos and artistic practices that emerge are, so to speak, unprecedented in the observation Muslim facts and the practice of music in Europe. European Muslims seem to continue to assert their belonging to their faith and action in Islam and express themselves in a musical field gradually built as a result of an increasing supply and a growing demand.
