The Effect of Employing Learning Based on the Use of Infographics in Teaching History on Developing Visual Thinking Skills among Eighth Grade Students
Abstract
The study aims to know the effect of employing learning based on the use of infographics in teaching history on developing visual thinking skills among eighth grade students. The study followed the semi-experimental approach, and the study sample consisted of two experimental groups that were studied according to the infographic-based learning method. While the control group was studied according to the usual method. The number of students (63) distributed as (31) students for the experimental group and (32) students for the control group. To achieve the objectives of the study, a test for visual thinking skills was developed. The results of the study showed that there are statistically significant differences between the mean of the scores of the two experimental groups that were studied using infographic and the signs of the control group that were studied in the usual way on the visual thinking test in favor of the experimental group. In light of the results of the study, the researcher presented a set of recommendations.
