Multilingualism, Neoliberalism, and Language Ideologies in Libraries

Abstract

In Brief This article calls for a more holistic and inclusive approach to the under-examined issue of language in libraries. By drawing on literature from applied linguistics and library and information studies, it then explores the effects of neoliberalism and language ideologies as two factors that affect the treatment of language in libraries.
