Abstract: The purpose of this article was to take a critical look at the didactic situation of English for Specific Purposes (ESP) at the Faculty of Pharmacy of Felix Houphouet-Boigny University (UFHB) on one hand, aiming to identify potential issues on the other. The study was guided by the following main questions: How are ESP courses organized at the Faculty of Pharmacy of UFHB? Does this organization encounter difficulties? If so, what kind of difficulties are they? Data were collected using an interview guide and questionnaires. The findings of the survey highlighted a problematic organization and a poor governance.
