Relations between regions and cities of Russia and Germany

Abstract

The article is an attempt to analyze the interregional and intercommunal ties of Russia and Germany in their diversity. This are formalized relations between cities and regions of the two countries, investment projects of German companies in Russian regions and projects of Russian companies in German regions as well as cooperation between different regional organizations. The author examines the features of the geography of interregional relations of the two countries, the partnership of cities, the results of the bilateral Year of interregional and intercommunal partnerships and the policy of the regional authorities of Germany on the issue of anti-Russian sanctions
