From the conception of time and theorization of the concepts underlying the curricular, non-curricular and free times within the , and correlating their implications in families, in society and in the school itself, the course of its gestational process is traced between what was politically designed for the beginning of the implementation of the full-time school (FTS) and the reality that it shows today. One analyses the complexities of the implications of the interactions of extracurricular activities in the curricular times and vice versa, as well as its possible effects on the individual formation. The initial role of curricular enrichment activities (CEA) considered as eminently playful-expressive learning times where the play was crucial it’s also compared to the current model, increasingly impregnated by "schooling", whose implications in the school process and in the integral formation of the pupil as a child, are still to be analysed.
