International Human Resource Management has a number of important characteristics in relation to the management of human resources within a nation, primarily because of differences in the priorities of national business environments. The subject of this study are characteristics of international human resource management, such as environmental impact, management styles and the importance of proper selection of personnel policy for the international management of human resources, bearing in mind the particular business case - the company 'RAPP MARINE GROUP' from Norway and its operations in Serbia. Comparative and qualitative analysis allowed us to determine the influence of indications and different ways of managing human resources in terms of international business within the same company but in two different branches with different cultural and national environment. The results unambiguously showed that inadequate management of human resources has a direct impact on motivation, satisfaction and communication within the organization as well as the characteristics of the work environment, and indirectly affect the productivity and profitability of the company.
