The starting point of the rehearsal is the first great friendship that sprinkles Freud’s life and marks his path, that of Eduard Silberstein. The letters between the two friends cover a period of ten years and can be considered the minutes of a secret association, baptised by the two teenagers as "Academia Española" (Spanish Academy). The author traces Freud's literary concerns (or temptations) that are not limited to letters only: in those years Freud wrote stories, poems, treatises and accumulated them in the "Archives" of the Spanish Academy, probably eliminated from our curiosity due to a fire to which Freud destined all his papers - so as he told Martha.
