The Role of National Research and Education Networks in Social Sciences

Abstract

In this paper, we review the impact of digital transformation in social sciences research. The capacity to use big data is limited by infrastructure availability. In this framework, national research and education networks play a vital role. Also, we provide a summary of the essential services required and make some recommendations to strength the researcher’s capacity to produce knowledge to face the significant challenges of the humankind.
