Objective To evaluate the clinical effect of CAD/CAM zirconia and IPS e.max Press in all-ceramic fixed partial dentures in anterior or premolar area. Methods Patients aged 20~60 years old with the lack of the anterior teeth or the first permanent molars and with 3 unit fixed bridge repair were selected. They were randomly divided into CAD/CAM zirconia and IPS e.max Press groups. 3, 6, 12 months after the restoration resoectively, clinical observation of occurrence of falling off, fracture, fracture porcelain, the edge of the restoration body and the gum performance were evaluated by the Reference to the American Public Health Association’s revised criteria. All the data were analyzed statistically. Results With the extension of time, the success rate of the two kinds of all ceramic materials was decreased. The survival rates of two groups were all 90% above and there was no significant difference between the two groups. Conclusion CAD/CAM zirconia and IPS e.max Press all-ceramic systems can achieve good results under the premise of strict control of clinical indications.
