The Ideas of Environmental Education in Grades 1–3 of Students – Future Teachers
Abstract
Due to the rapid changes of a social, civilization and scientific nature, the way of introducing nature-based content should be amended. The essence of this kind of education should be the development of interest in nature and directing students’ cognitive activity towards understanding of natural phenomena and processes as well as education for sustainable development. The text is an attempt to look at the students’ (1–3 grade future teachers’) concepts of environmental education of children at a younger school age. Students’ opinions on the nature of environmental education of children and the ways of its implementation have been analyzed qualitatively.
