Amphenicol antibiotics were broad-spectrum antibiotic that had good inhibitory activity to G+ and G- bacteria. This type of antibiotic not only had poor water solubility, but its toxicity and drug resistance were also gradually being discovered. This article reviews the mechanism of action, resistance mechanism, structureactivity relationship, preparation development, residue detection, and wastewater treatment of amphenicol antibiotics, in order to provide reference for future research.
