Abstract

This article explores how television series have affected the study of Shakespeare, his productions in the theatre and his adaptations, appropriations and quotations on the screen. The very existence of television series has affected not only the way in which historical plays, Roman plays and late romances (and their productions) have been perceived, but also the way in which structural and ontological links between Shakespearean and serial production have come to light.
