KRITERIA KE-SHAHIH-AN HADIS MENURUT AL-KHATHIB AL-BAGHDADI DALAM KITAB AL-KIFAYAH FI ‘ILM AL-RIWAYAH
Abstract
The teachings of the al-Qur`an requires a second resource called Hadith after its criteria are fixed in valid (Sahih) which can be accepted and practiced. Al-Khathib al-Baghdadi was a Hadith clergy who was born in the early years of book keeping science of Hadith. He was famous among all Itqan’s, rote, and had a lot of works, especially in the field of science of hadith. Al-Kifayah fi ‘Ilm al-riwayah was one of his works. As a reference by scholars after ward his opinion on the criteria for all Hadith Sahih deserved to be studied. Criteria to sanad of Hadith Sahih according to al-Khathib al-Baghdadi comprised of: 1) Sanad continued, which is narrated by the narrators of “fair and dhabith” fair and dhabith means “tahammul wa ada`” processes; 2) the narrators are ‘fair in the sense reliable in diversity; 3) The dhabith narrator is awake state to receive up to deliver Hadith. Meanwhile, relating with matan: 1) Avoid syadz form of conflict that tsiqah transmission, both the transmitters of more tsiqah or the transmitters of tsiqah ; 2) Avoid ‘illat, proven by testing against the al-Qur’an, hadith mutawatir, ijma’ and qiyas common sense
