Analysis of the selected musical work of four Ocañeros composers

Abstract

This article presents the analysis carried out on the selected musical works of the Ocaña composers honored in the musical catalog "Ocaña: legacy of music, lyrics and passions", which was the product of the execution of the project "Compilation, analysis, classification and study of the musical work of 4 composers from Ocaña and the province; and elaboration of its musical catalog ”, in order to rescue the musical identity and avoid the loss of the cultural and musical memory of the region in danger of disappearing. The research project is qualitative and the object of study was the musical work of the authors Rafael Contreras Navarro, Carlos Julio Melo Paredes, Carmen Noel Paba and Carlos Guillermo Lemus Sepúlveda. As a result, a musical analysis of the 2 works by each composer was carried out, which were selected, arranged and produced musically in different instrumental formats for the catalog album. From this analysis it is evident that in each one of them the compositional criteria of the time reflected in the metrics, rhythms, tones, etc. are generally followed.
