A great number of electric vehicle (EV) charging piles can participate in the electricity spot market and auxiliary service market through load aggregation to comprehensively optimize operating costs. The flexible adjustment of charging load, which is more acceptable to charging users, is adopted as a way for EV load aggregators to participate in the frequency modulation auxiliary service market. The scheme research of EV load aggregators’ participation in grid-friendly interaction under the framework of electricity market is carried out from four aspects such as overall technical scheme, market mechanism design, aggregation platform design, and evaluation and verification system design. The scheme proposes a cloud-side-end collaborative architecture of EV charging load aggregation platform under the framework of service frequency modulation auxiliary market to solve the control and communication problems of massive charging piles, which can provide a reference for EV load aggregators to participate in auxiliary service market.
