Analysis of the device structure automatic sighting devices in air defense and sighting problem

Abstract

Growing development of airborne techniques and modernization of ground attack tactics imposed the necessity of higher automating of aiming procedures in air defense. In this paper the task, structure and working principle of automatic sighting devices are discussed. The problems of target detection and measuring of its position are also discussed, especially the impact of the nature of the electromagnetic radiation on the ability of target detection. Major properties of contemporary sighting sensors are given too.
