Abstract

The migration is a social phenomenon recurrent in peasant’s life of Alagoas Semiarid region. The sugarcane region is the main destination used by the migrants. The migration is strategic for the peasant reproduction, but it also serves to the dictates of sugar and alcohol capital. The conflicts between capital and work have grown recently.
