Climate change is one of the most serious issues faced by the global community of the present era. Hence, maximum, minimum and average temperatures for the period 1986 to 2016 collected from the Department of Agricultural Meteorology, Kerala Agricultural University (KAU), Vellanikkara were analysed to study the change in climate over years of Thrissur district. The present study showed no significant trend with respect to the annual mean maximum temperature from 1986 to 2016 as the temperature was not continuously progressive. But during 2011- 2016, for the annual mean maximum temperature, increasing trend was found and it was significantly increasing by 0.1495°C per year. The annual mean minimum and average temperatures also showed no significant trend from 1986-201
