The electronic industry: a perspective from the economic scenario

Abstract

Itisimportanttoexecuteanalysisthatcontributetoagreaterunderstandingofourdomesticeconomy.Thereby,thisworkintendstounderstanditsbehaviorandtrajectoryoftheelectronicindustrysectorintheBrazilianeconomyinlastdecade.Forthat,weusedmicrodatacollectedinthePesquisaIndustrialAnual(PIA)withintentionoftracingfundamentalcharacteristicsandtrendsofthedivisionovertheyears.Thetheoreticalreferenceproposesinnovationandtechnologicalprogressasastimulatingfortheprogressofthesector,brieflyvisitstheintroductionofthecomputerindustryinBrazilandthepoliciescarriedoutwiththepurposeofpromotingthedivision.Inaddition,transformationindustrywascomparedthesector26.Therefore,wedemonstrateanapparentdecelerationinthedivision,basedonthenegativeimpactofthepoliticsandeconomicsdisturbancethatoccurredinthedecadeunderanalysis.Thereductioninthenumberofregisteredcompanies,employedpeopleandtheprofitmarginrate,theincreaseinstocksandcostsincurredinthesectorevidencedthisfact.Finally,thegenerationofincomeattheleveloftheanalyzedgroupsstandsout,whichwasresponsiblefortheperformanceobtainedbyhealth-relatedequipmentandmaterials,whichhavegreatertechnologicalcomplexityandahigherdegreeofaddedvalue.
