The aim of the research is to identify (flexible thinking and its relationship to some demographic variables among middle school students); The sample consisted of (370) male and female students from the preparatory stage for the fifth and sixth grades in their (scientific and literary) branches in the preparatory and secondary schools of the General Directorate of Education in Anbar, including (197) male and (173) female students, and (243) male and female students represented the scientific branch, and (127) students of the literary branch; The researchers prepared a flexible thinking test of (30) items (attitudes) with three alternatives, and they verified its psychometric properties; The results showed: middle school students are characterized by flexible thinking, and there are no statistically significant differences in the test due to the two variables (gender, branch of specialization).
