Comparison of Systems for Levitation Heating of Electrically Conductive Bodies
Abstract
Levitation heating of nonmagnetic electrically conductive bodies can be realized in various systems consisting of one of more inductors. The paper deals with compassion of the resultant. Lorentz lifts force acting on such a body (cylinder, sphere) and velocity of its heating for different shapes of coils and parameters of the field currents (amplitudes, frequency). The tack is solved in quasi-coupled formulation. Theoretical considerations are supplemented with an illustrative example whose results are discussed.
