Meningeal mesenchymal chondrosarcoma: Case report
Abstract
Mesenchymal chondrosarcoma occurring in meninges is very rare, which is similarity to mesenchymal chondrosarcoma that originated in bone. Diagnosis is mainly dependent on pathomorphology, combined with immunophenotype is helpful for diagnosis. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen the understanding of the clinicopathological features of this disease, to avoid misdiagnosis and treatment. Differential diagnosis of mesenchymal chondrosarcoma mainly includes meningiomas, solitary fibroid tumor/hemangiopericytoma, ewing’s sarcoma, sarcomas that originated from meningeal and metastatic tumors.
