Terminological inconsistencies in herniology and ways to solve them (review of literature)

Abstract

To date, there are a large number of terms used in herniology. However, there is a problem with the correct use of these terms in Russian literature. Thus, the resulting terminological inconsistencies make scientific communication difficult and do not allow for an adequate comparative analysis of treatment results.The article considers options for the correct use of the main terms used to refer to plastic materials, names of surgical interventions and diagnoses.
