Complémentarités agriculture-tourisme dans les territoires insulaires : un système d’indicateurs comme outil d’accompagnement

Abstract

On coastal areas and in islands in particular, the tourism sustainability is still at stake: whereas agriculture and tourism are competing for land, how can we think and promote the complementarities between both activities for a sustainable territorial development? This paper deals with this question. For instance, a grid of indicators for the complementarities between farming systems and tourism is set as a tool for local development. The results of a survey lead in the Mediterranean island of Corsica in 2010 are used to discuss the scope of such a grid.
