As standards are excellent places for medium- and long-term prospective observation, this article reports on the work in progress within a working group coordinated by France, on the Digital Governance of sustainable mobility systems. The challenge for this French working group is to define a normative reference framework for this emerging field, in order to facilitate its pre-competitive development. The aim is to identify its high-level needs, but also and above all to develop a broader digital governance of these mobility systems, based on a systemic approach. Indeed, other areas of public policy action - such as education, health, production, sustainable consumption and their related scientific disciplines - must be able to contribute to an integrated, i.e. complementary and coordinated, response to these high-level needs, which are fundamentally part of the goals of sustainable development. The difficulty in reaching a consensus in this working group is due in particular to the difficulty of implementing a systemic approach to the digital governance of mobility systems.
