Total of 12 Griffon Vultures (10 males and 2 females) were captured on 22 may 2018 and attached with high resolution GPRS-GSM transmitters with accelerometers manufactured by ECOTONE (Poland)1. We are developing models to interpret accelerometer data. It will allow quantification of flight behavior and thus a context to interpret specific interactions near windfarms. . Another innovation incorporated in our devices is the recording of barometric pressure. We hope this data will allow us to understand how changes in air pressures could influence on flight behavior and to refine flight altitude estimates.
