This article unveils aspects related to quality of life in cities with high population density, mainly with regard to the favelas that congregate in these cities, using as example the case of Marilia, Brazil, a city of Sao Paulo. In addition, lt is expected to carry out a pilot project that brings together professionals from various disciplines get engaged to the plight situation of the inhabitants of the favelas. The objective is to form a multidisciplinary group of theoretical work that aims to, study the practica! reality. The article makes a journey through the situation of the Brazilian cities sin ce the sixties, so far, noting majar inequalities in them and the difficult formation of citizenship. The case of the city of Marilia is no stranger to the general situation of the country. There is perceived poverty, inequality and the harsh reality of the favelas. The interest is then to propase new policies that create solutions to problems that arise there. The research has aspects related to inclusion ¡ exclusion and draws a series of maps on the urban situation, a key element in the framework of the investigation.
