TURİST REHBERLİĞİNDE UZMANLAŞMA: UZMAN REHBERLERE YÖNELİK BİR DURUM ÇALIŞMASI
Abstract
ÖZ: Rehberlikte uzmanlaşma eğitimleri turist rehberlerinin niteliklerinin artırılmasında önemli bir süreçtir. Rehberlere yönelik uzmanlık eğitimleri bölgesel rehber odaları ve Anadolu Üniversitesi tarafından farklı yöntemlerle gerçekleştirilmektedir. Eğitimlerde başarılı olanlara konusuna ilişkin uzmanlık sertifikası verilmektedir. Bu çalışmanın amacı turist rehberlerinin uzmanlaşmalarının önemini vurgulamak, verilen uzmanlık eğitimlerinin niteliğini tartışmak ve bu eğitimlerin rehberlere olan katkılarını ortaya koymaktır. Nitel bir araştırma olarak tasarlanan bu çalışmanın verileri görüşme tekniği kullanılarak uzman rehberlerden oluşturulmuş bir örneklemden elde edilmiştir. Yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme tekniği ile oluşturulan sorular maksimum çeşitleme ile belirlenen çalışma gurubuna Mart Mayıs 2020 tarihleri arasında uygulanmıştır. Verilerin analizinde betimsel çözümleme tekniği kullanılmıştır. Bulgular, uzaktan eğitimlerin rehberlikte uzmanlaşma için yeterli olmadığını, uzmanlık sertifikalarına sektörde itibar edilmediğini, eğitimlerin organizasyon ve planlanmasında eksiklikler olduğunu göstermiştir. Çalışma, uzmanlık eğitimlerinde belirlenen yetersizliklerin giderilmesi için bazı önerilerde bulunmuş ve ileride ihtiyaç duyulabilecek uzmanlık konularına yönelik çeşitli fikirler ileri sürmüştür. Bölgesel turizm potansiyelleri ve ihtiyaçlar değerlendirildikten sonra uzmanlık eğitimlerinin layıkıyla düzenlenmesi önerilmektedir. ABSTRACT: Specialty training in guiding is an important process on improving the quality of tourist guides. Specialty trainings for guides are conducted by regional guide chambers and Anadolu University in different methods.. Guides who are successful in specialty training have a right to get the specialty certificate. The purpose of this study is to emphasis the importance of specialization in tourist guiding, discuss the quality of specialty trainings and reveal the contributions to guides. This study was designed as a qualitative research and data were obtained from a sample forming of specialist guides by using the interview technique. A semi-structured interview technique was applied to the study group between March and May 2020. The study group was formed by maximum variation sampling. Descriptive analysis was used to analyze the data. Research results showed that distance education method is not sufficient for specialty training, specialty certificates are not respected in tourism industry, and there are incompetencies in organization and planning of specialty trainings. This study made some suggestions to fulfill incompetencies expressed in the specialty trainings and proposed several opinions on specialty subjects that may be needed in the future. It is recommended to arrange speciality trainings properly after evaluating regional tourism potentials and needs.
