Analysing determinants of firms’ investment in Tien Giang province

Analysing determinants of firms’ investment in Tien Giang province is to identidy factors influencing to firms’ investment decision in order to recommend some policy implications to encourage and speed up firms’ investment. With a dataset of 904 firms from survey in 2010 of Statistical Office in Tien Giang, this research uses the Binary Logistic to study. Findings are that there are 7 statistically significant determinants to firms’ investment, including (1) Total labour number has positive relationship with firms’ investment, (2) Total asset is positive with firms’ investment, (3) Total sales influence negatively to firms’ investment, (4) Earnings before tax is significant to investment, (5) ROA is negative and key factor to investment, (6) There is a positive relationship between equity and investment, and (7) The private ownership is positive to investment, comparing with other ownership.
