Conciliation, Mediation and Access to Justice: The Role of the Conselho Nacional de Justiça in Promoting Social Peace Culture

Abstract

The aim of the study is to analyze the role of the Conselho Nacional de Justiça in promoting a culture of social peace. Furthermore, the objective is to demonstrate that the consensual methods, particularly mediation and conciliation can help resolve conflicts and promote access to justice. It is used the deductive method and the literature research as procedure method. As for the results of the study, it has been verified the effectiveness of CNJ judicial treatment of conflicts policy, but that public policy needs to be amplified, and not only directed to the judiciary.
