Abstract

This Special Issue of Trabalhos em Linguística Aplicada, a journal in the field of applied language studies, gathers contributions from the fields of language studies, anthropology and communication studies, all invested in understanding the current state of politics in different societies brought about by transformations in communication infrastructures, forms of governance, and modes of disciplining subjects and language.
