Muerte, ritualización y memoria. Imágenes sobre la (re)memoración de los angelitos. Corrientes. Argentina
Abstract
The present record proposes a descriptive, analytical and exploratory approach to some of the practices of (re)membrance concerning the angelito [little angel=dead infant] in the Province of Corrientes, Argentina. The corpus, partially exposed, corresponds to first hand records obtained between 2005 and 2010. We inquired about the relationships between ritualization, funeral memory and chronotope in some of the (re)membrance practices defined —from the emic voice— as Angels We Are. This study has a transdisciplinar theoretical and methodological approach with contributions from anthropology, communication and semiotics, in-depth interviews, diaries, observations and records through diverse technological devices. Part of the compilation work was made within the frame of the Project “Local Memories of Theatricality” Part II. (Code 16-H/124) in the Secretary of Research and Graduate Studies, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, National University of Misiones, Posadas. Argentina. It is also part of a Master’s Degree Thesis in Discursive Semiotics presented in 2011.
