FIRST EJACULATION OF MALE ADOLESCENT STUDENTS: WHAT THEY THINK, HOW THEY EXPERIENCE IT AND WHEN IT OCCURRED
Abstract
During human development, adolescentsexperience organic, emotional, psychic and social growth modifications, which are many times the center of discussion among classmates. From a male perspective, we studied adolescent male thoughts on first-time ejaculation experience: when it occurred and, according to their perception, what changed in their lives. An open-ended questionnaire was applied to 111 individuals from 3 publicly-funded schools. Data results were analyzed aspercentage, frequencies and thematic categories. Results showed that 64.9% of the participants aged 11 to 13 years responded accurately as to the date of their first ejaculation,evidencing its importance. Behavior modification was observed in 91 (82%) of the participants, being the reasonsfor life changes grouped in 3 categories: 1) evolved sensations or feelings; 2) knowledge on how to reach ejaculation and 3) expectations regarding ejaculation.
