Abstract

In their monograph, the Ural scholars consider the play, fiction and Kulturträger aspects of G. Chkhartishvili’s literary and historiographic projects. The authors mainly focus on the different genres of the writer’s fiction and its “creative laboratory” in the form of his blog. Having failed to find readers’ appreciation in his status of a writer, B. Akunin enjoys being a successful author and is working on exploring his occupation. The authors of the book under review focus on the analysis of the variety of conventional and non-conventional play strategies Akunin employs in his literary works.
