Territorial dynamics and society: an experience of interdisciplinary graduate in the amazon region
Abstract
This paper presents an initial experience of a graduate program in northern Brazil. It presents the conceptual basis of the program, an observation of the regional context and, based on documental analysis, some reflections on students’ profiles and the issues addressed. The program’s purpose is to study in an interdisciplinary approach territorial dynamics that shape the region. The issues addressed focus on the socio-economic dynamics in relation with local power, public policy, great projects, resistance movements, knowledge and discourses produced in these relationships.
